ASTral x habitat for humanity

With the catchphrase “Drink Margs, Do Good”. Astral Tequila’s sustainability partnership with Habitat For Humanity is built into their business model. Made from 100% Blue Weber Agave, Astral Tequila utilizes old traditions and ancestral milling processes that crushes the agave plant and uses its fibers during fermentation for its distinct flavor, and then those leftover agave fibers are mixed with earth and liquid runoff to then create adobe bricks. In turn, these bricks are utilized in building houses for families local to the Jaslico, Mexico community. This partnership has grown, and outsourced into partnerships throughout the U.S. as well.

I was privileged enough to come onto a working house site in the heart of Denver for the day and document the whole process. My main task was to capture the community (which wasn’t hard), and also get some shots with the hat! From fitting windows, to placing flooring and cutting lots of wood, I had my hardhat on and made lots of friends throughout the day. Thanks Astral for having me!
